Ben’s journey as a solo artist began in 2018 with the release of his debut piano album Glimpses.

 

Ben found himself drawn to the ‘continuous music’ technique mastered by artists like Lubomyr Melnyk and the intimate and almost meditative sound of Nils Frahm. Not bound by the constrictions of traditional song writing, he allowed each piece to take its organic form. This is most pronounced on progressive tracks like Paradigm, Over Edges and Anywhere & Everywhere Pt.1&2.

 

Glimpses evidences Ben’s strong understanding of melody which is subtle, intertwined and connective. You can hear this in tracks like Hiding Under the Sky, She and Passing By.
